Tom Barker established the business In 1985 with the determination to offer outstanding timber products and dedicated customer service to timber importers and manufacturers across the UK. The formula worked. The company has grown steadily through many long-standing customer relationships.

Mark Thrift took over the reins in 2012, expanding our range of timber products and implementing our Just-in-Time delivery service. We now source over 40,000 m3 of timber annually.

The latest chapter began in October 2024, when Sean Robinson took over the company having worked for Barker & Co for over 10 years. Together with our dedicated team and supply chain partners we’re building on the foundations already in place. We aim to continue our legacy of top quality timber products backed by exceptional customer service.
